I think a lot of times people don’t really expect me to be the farmer... [but] I’m out here every day putting long hours, backbreaking work. I’m out there from sun up to sun down. I’m putting in the hard work that’s necessary to be a farmer… from that I think I’ve earned the title of Farmer.”
Everything in my garden I learned to do by watching my mom. And when you ask my mom "Well how did you learn how to do that?" She says "Well my mom taught me."... and so all this knowledge is being passed down generation to generation and it's easily incorporated into my vision for my garden.
“For me the fulfillment comes in having been able to do what I’ve always wanted to do... when you can can get up in the morning and go out there with a glad heart and an open will obviously it was the right thing to do. And I think the fulfilling part is knowing that what’s there, I made.”
